Victoria Int’l Airport (ICAO: CYYJ)

The Victoria International Airport (Formerly Patricia Bay Air Base) is sandwiched between Patricia Bay to the West, and Sidney to the East. The Airport features 3 runways, each different lengths and widths. Because of prevailing winds, the most common approaches are Runway 09/27.

The airport was the first on Vancouver Island to offer International Travel from Vancouver Island. Thus, it remains one of the busier airports on the West Coast of Canada.

Viking Air Services has called YYJ its home for decades. Here, they produce new aircraft and restore vintage aircraft.

VIH operates here also, a common sight when spotting at YYJ is their Sikorsky S-61 or their Russian Kamov bi-rotor!
